Neway Challenge Academy Provides Supplementary Food Support To Four Woredas Of East Shewa Zone

Neway Challenge Academy mobilized over 200,000.00 birr from the school community to provide supplementary food to drought affected communities to four woredas of East Shewa Zone, September 23, 2016.
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society distributed 160 quintals of CSB and 324 litters of edible oil to drought affected communities with the support provided by the Academy located in Eastern Showa Zone of Adaa, Liben, Bora and Dugda woredas.
In the first round distribution of 565 identified drought victims 312 of them are pregnant and lactating mothers and children under the age of five are in Liben woreda.
On the occasion, the beneficiaries said that as a result of the drought children and aged people faced food shortage. Thus the community thanked both the ERCS and the academy for the support they provided.
Academy representative, who participated in the distribution program, said that in the future they will continue to work in collaboration with the Ethiopian Red Cross Society and increase their effort to provide more support.
The support made by the academy distributed to the drought affected people in selected woredas.
