ERCS VOLUNTEERS/EMPLOYEES WATER TREE SEEDLINGS
Volunteers and Employees of the Ethiopian Red Cross Society watered tree seedlings they have planted during the Green Legacy campaign last August.
Over one hundred employees and youth volunteers from the HQs and Addis Ababa Branch have taken part in the watering activity which took place on Saturday, 2nd of November, 2019.
Head of Addis Ababa Branch Abebaw Bekele on the occasion said the Ethiopian Red Cross Society considers planting trees as part of building resilience which the Society is committed for.
Abebaw went on to say that ERCS has been actively engaged in planting trees for the past 5 years and has planted over 10,000 seedlings during the last rainy season.
The Employees vowed to continue watering and taking a good care of the plants during the dry season as planting is a sufficient means by its own.
Most of the seedlings are found in a good state and 20,000 liters of water has been utilized to water the plants.
