ERCS Amhara Regional Branch Office Evaluates Annual Performance

ERCS Amhara Regional Branch Office Evaluates Annual Performance
July 24, 2026News

The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) Amhara Regional Branch Office holds annual performance evaluation from July 23- to 24, with the attendance of board members, leaders from the national and branch offices, and staff members. During the meeting, the branch office thoroughly evaluated its performance for the 2018 Ethiopian fiscal year and held extensive discussions on the focus plans for the 2019 Ethiopian fiscal year.

In his opening speech, the Branch Office Manager, Mr. Shambel Wale, stated that the annual performance evaluation is of great significance for sustaining Best achievements, resolving challenges, and strengthening the strategic direction of the branch office.

Mr. Mohammed Jemal, ERCS Deputy Secretary General for Branch Affairs and Localization, on his part expressed his admiration. He noted that despite facing multi-faceted challenges in the region, the branch has increased revenue from members, strengthened income-generating activities, and moved beyond traditional Red Cross tasks. Zonal structures have actively participated in natural resource development and seed distribution activities using their own capacity.

In his closing remarks regarding the main priorities for the upcoming year, Regional Board member Mr. Tsegaye Admas outlined key focus areas aimed at driving better performance. These include strengthening resource mobilization efforts to enhance financial capacity, increasing membership numbers to expand accessibility, and modernizing operations while deepening the society’s relationships with banks.
