Turkish Red Crescent Extends Condolences to ERCS

The Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılay) has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) following the tragic death of Mulugeta Andualem, an ERCS ambulance driver who was killed in an armed attack while carrying out his humanitarian duties.

In a condolence letter addressed to ERCS President Abera Tola , Turkish Red Crescent President Prof. Dr. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, colleagues, and the entire ERCS community.

The Turkish Red Crescent emphasized that humanitarian workers, medical personnel, and ambulances must be respected and protected, reaffirming its support for humanitarian principles and the safe delivery of life-saving assistance.
