ERCS Conducts Annual Review Meeting, Commits To Strengthen Its Humanitarian Services

The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) has conducted its annual review meeting from August 22 to 24, 2016 in Mekelle.
During the meeting, the Society basically evaluated the first year implementation of the revised five year strategic plan that was designed a year ago using the balanced score card tool. ERCS President Dr. Ahmed Reja said that the Society has been showing improvements from time to time in terms of reaching out the vulnerable.
The president further noted that the governance and management shall work hand in hand to mobilize resources, drive members as well as build its human resources capacity .
Secretary General W/ro Frehiwot Worku on her part urged members of the ERCS management to uphold efficient and systematic management approach in order to realize the vision of the National Society.
After two days of discussion, participants reached consensus to consider lessons learned in the first year to successfully implement the strategic plan in the years to come.
