Movement partners hold partnership review meeting

The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reviewed their three years partnership (2015-2017) on 4 July 2017 at ERCS Training Center. In the review session, achievements in the major areas of partnership, major challenges faced and lessons learnt were brought to the table for strategic discussion by the participants of the meeting.
According to W/O Firehiowt Worku, Secretary General of ERCS, the strategic partnership is driven from the thematic issues of the Society which are service excellence, resource development & management, membership & volunteer drive increment and communication & strategic partnership. Based on this, the major areas of partnership are identified to be Restoring Family Link, Emergency Response, Organizational Capacity Development, Promotion of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), members & Volunteers development and management among others for the coming three years (2018-2020).
Participants of the meeting expressed their views that the two partners will keep on working together towards the successful implementation of activities set under the thematic areas of the strategic partnership agreement. The participants of the meeting were Executive and Senior Management of the including concerned coordinators and officers from both partners.
