ERCS-ICRC signs Partnership Framework Agreement

The partners signed Partnership Framework of Agreement (PFA) to work collaboratively in program areas for the upcoming three years (2018-2020) and plan of 2018 on 11 February 2018.
The purpose of the Partnership is to achieve consistently quick and effective emergency humanitarian response in armed conflict and other situations of violence and strengthening of the Movement as a whole through capacity building activities that benefit the partners and ultimately the beneficiaries.
The core areas of Partnership are emergency response, Restoring Family Link (RFL) including Communication and dissemination of humanitarian principles and IHL. Micro-economic Initiatives, Capacity Building in Emergency Response, Safer Access Framework, Branch Development and general Organizational Development of the National Society are also other areas of support.
Partnership between the two Movement members is long standing to meet the needs of people affected in Ethiopia since 1930s and it has evolved over years in line with needs since 2003 being formalized through the Partnership Framework Agreement (renewed every three years), it is learnt.
