ERCS Provides Training to Newly Elected Board Members


The Ethiopian Red Cross Society’s Addis Ababa branch office, in collaboration with the National Society, provided an awareness-raising training to the newly elected board members of the four zonal offices, on history of the Society, volunteerism, policies, and the relationship between the board and the management, in Adama city.

In his opening remark, Chairman of the board of the Addis Ababa branch office, Ato T/Michael Tafesse, welcomed the trainees and urged all board members, as a volunteer, to contribute to the achievement of the vision of the ERCS.
Ato T/Michael added that they will review the work of the branch office with the board and management on a quarterly basis.

The Deputy Secretary General of ERCS for Branch Affairs and Localization, Ato Mohamed Jamal, on his part, noted that Addis Ababa is a city with a large population and resources; he urged all board members to fulfil their responsibilities so that the Society can reach the community and make humanitarian services accessible.
He also stated that the national office will provide the necessary support.
