ERCS is Reviewing its Semi-Annual Plan Implementation

Ethiopian Red Cross Society’s leadership at the HQ and the heads of the regional branch offices are reviewing the Society’s semi-annual plan implementation of the 2018 E.C fiscal year, in Addis Ababa.
The semi-annual review workshop, which is the first of ERCS’s five-year strategic plan, highlighted the positive results achieved in the past six months, the challenges encountered, and the lessons learned.

In his welcoming remarks, Ato Dires Desyibelew, ERCS’s Deputy Secretary General for programs, recalled that ERCS’s management has been reviewing the six-month plan implementation of both the national office and regional branches and has sent the report to the governing board, which has discussed and approved it.

Ato Dires added that the two-day review meeting is a good opportunity to discuss the experiences gained during the six-month plan implementation, the challenges faced, and the valuable lessons learned.

According to W/ro Kalkidan Admasu Director of Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Department, the objective of the Semi-Annual Review Workshop is to bring together ERCS headquarter and regional branches to review the implementation progress of the 2018 EFY Annual Operational Plan (AOP) during the first half of the year.

W/ro Kalkidan added that the workshop provided an opportunity to reflect on achievements, discuss challenges, share good practices, and identify practical actions to improve performance and strengthen program implementation for the remaining period of the year.

At the workshop, regional branches and the departments of the National Office presented and discussed their six-month plan implementation, challenges they faced, and solutions they adopted.
The review meeting continued today.
